Gig-Ing User Terms

These Terms describe your rights, responsibilities, and our policies when using Gig-Ing. Please review them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing Gig-Ing's platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and any other policies referenced herein. If you do not agree, you may not use the platform.

These Terms apply to all users, including clients, freelancers, agencies, and visitors. If you are using the platform on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to agree on its behalf.

2. Using the Platform

Gig-Ing connects clients and independent professionals. Users must maintain accurate information, comply with all applicable laws, and use the platform for legitimate purposes only.

Accounts are personal and non-transferable. Trading or sharing accounts, posting fraudulent content, or engaging in off-platform solicitation to avoid platform fees is prohibited.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for misrepresentation, abuse, or policy violations.

3. Projects and Payments

Clients are responsible for posting accurate project details and ensuring that payments are funded through approved channels. Freelancers agree to deliver work in accordance with project requirements.

Payments may be held in escrow until milestones are reviewed and approved. Gig-Ing may charge service fees which are disclosed prior to engagement.

Clients and freelancers must honor agreements reached via the platform and resolve payment disputes through the systems provided.

Users may not circumvent the platform by making direct payments or engaging outside the gig-ing environment unless authorized.

4. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise specified in writing, ownership of work product transfers to the client upon full payment. Freelancers retain rights to portfolio use unless prohibited.

Users grant Gig-Ing a limited license to use content strictly for operating, promoting, and maintaining the platform.

Users are responsible for ensuring that any materials they upload or share do not infringe intellectual property rights.

5. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute between users, you agree to first attempt resolution through Gig-Ing’s support channels. We may offer mediation and dispute tools to help reach a fair resolution.

Gig-Ing does not guarantee outcomes but may investigate and take action when platform rules or transaction policies are violated.

Users may be asked to provide documentation or evidence in disputes, and failure to comply may result in case dismissal.

6. Prohibited Activities

Users may not engage in fraud, spam, harassment, misrepresentation, exploitation of minors, or activities that violate applicable laws.

It is prohibited to sell accounts, share login credentials, post offensive content, or use unauthorized payment methods.

Gig-Ing reserves the right to investigate and take action against policy violations, including warnings, account suspension, or legal action.

7. Confidentiality and Data Security

Users must protect confidential information shared during project engagement and comply with data protection and privacy laws.

Clients and freelancers are responsible for setting confidentiality expectations in their agreements, including NDAs or data handling procedures.

8. Limitation of Liability

Gig-Ing provides the platform “as is” and disclaims liability for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of income, profits, or data.

We do not guarantee specific outcomes, earnings, uninterrupted service, or future platform features.

In jurisdictions where limitations of liability are restricted, our liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

9. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in law, technology, or platform features. Continued use of the platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Significant updates will be communicated via email, dashboard notices, or platform announcements.
